Submission Guidelines Read Before You Write

We review every submission carefully. Following these guidelines gives your article the best chance of getting published quickly.

Your Article Must Be:

Original content written by you and published nowhere else online before or after submission. A minimum of 700+ words long, enough to cover the topic properly, short enough to keep readers engaged. Factually accurate with credible sources linked or mentioned where relevant. Written in clear, natural English that reads like a human wrote it, not a machine. Free of grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and awkward sentence structures. Formatted with a strong headline, short paragraphs, and subheadings that guide the reader through the piece. Accompanied by at least one royalty-free image with the original source credited.

We Will Not Publish:

Articles that have been published elsewhere, even partially. Content that reads as promotional material, brand advertising, or a sales pitch disguised as journalism. Pieces stuffed with keywords, excessive links, or anchor text that serves SEO rather than the reader. Anything related to gambling, adult content, payday loans, illegal products, or cryptocurrency scams. Submissions that show clear signs of AI generation without meaningful human rewriting and editorial judgment.

How the Submission Process Works

We have kept this simple on purpose: no complicated forms, no long waiting periods, no confusion about what happens next.

Step 1: Send Your Pitch. Before writing a full article, email us a working headline and a short three to five sentence summary of what you want to write. This saves you time and lets us tell you quickly whether the idea is a good fit.

Step 2: Get the Green Light. Our editorial team reviews pitches within two to three business days. If we like your idea, we will confirm, and you can start writing. If we need adjustments, we will tell you exactly what to change.

Step 3: Write and Submit. Write your full article following the guidelines above. Send it to us as a Google Doc link or a Word document attachment. Include your author bio, a professional photo, and a link to your website or social profile.

Step 4: Editorial Review. We read every submission thoroughly. If your article needs minor edits for clarity or formatting, we handle that internally. If we need significant changes, we will reach out with specific feedback before making any decisions.

Step 5: Publication. Approved articles are published with your byline, author photo, and bio link. We share every new article across our social channels on the day it goes live.

Common Questions

Can writers from any country submit?

Absolutely. We welcome contributors from every country. Our readership is global, and so is our contributor base. The only requirement is that your article is written in English.

Is there payment for accepted articles?

At this stage, we offer contributors global exposure, a permanent dofollow author bio link, and promotion across our social media channels rather than monetary payment. As Times Square News grows, this policy will be reviewed.

How long does the review process take?

We aim to respond to all pitches within two to three business days and to full submissions within three to five business days. If you have not heard back after seven days, a single follow-up email is welcome.

Can I include links inside my article?

You may include one relevant outbound link within the article body if it genuinely adds value for the reader. Affiliate links, promotional links, and links to low-quality websites will be removed before publication. Your author bio may include one link to your personal website or social profile.

What happens to my article after submission?

Times Square News retains the right to publish, edit, and promote submitted articles across our platform and social channels. We ask that contributors do not republish the same article elsewhere after it has been published on our site.

What if my article is not accepted?

We try to provide brief feedback on rejected submissions where possible. If your article does not fit our current editorial needs, you are welcome to pitch a different idea at any time.
